We’ll it’s all been done and dusted and some impressive results all round from our WA rider’s.
A huge congratultions to U15 pinner Jake Byrne for taking 2nd place at his first ever national’s race on the big wheel machine.
Well done to Ben Bell for another great performance this summer finish 15th just ahead of Margret river boy Mitch Delfs in 16th, Neon Deon Baker in 20th showing some real form once again at the top level. Andrew “the penguin” Laird scraped a semi respectable 48th. Andrew Laird had a “best in his career” highlight crash on saturday practise by all reports, committing a full penguin on the end of the notorious canberra triple treat.
Bigs raps to Holly Baarspul winning the U19′s women’s title and setting a time that would have seen her place 6th in elite womens.
U19′s Men saw will gower in the hotseat for awhile but got knocked out by the ever improving Rhys Willemse, Hans Hadley locked in fourth spot after a nasty fall in qualifing.
Masters’s Men and some super seriously competitive blokes in there, new peel recruit Shane Dobson in 2nd, the ever quick Shane Hadley in 4th, and a little further out was Dean Byrne 9th and Nevesy 11th.
