Illegal Activities @ Tom’s Dwellingup

Once again it has been brought to the attention of the club that people have been illegally camping again at the top of the hill above the downhill trails at Tom’s Crossing in Dwellingup.

Not only once again has a trail of litter been left behind but there has also now been destruction of the native vegetation.

These type of actions put yourself in breach of Calm Regulations (2002) , this reserves DEC the right to issue an infringement notice or to issue a breach notice(court proceedings) against those responsible. In addition offenders may also be barred permanently from entering the Lane Poole Reserve area thus leaving you unable to enter any events held by the club in the reserve area.

There are now trail markings from this Illegal camping area linking it to the start of the trails at Tom’s to suggest that the actions from this latest incident are those of mtber’s.

All of you as mtb’ers riding on DEC Land need to realise that it is a privilege, not a right for us to be on DEC managed Land as their priority is that of the natural bush land first, Organisations an Clubs second.
