Kiwi local Sam Blenkinsop qualified first with a 3:17:39, then Brendan Fairclough 1.99 seconds back, Steve Smith (Canada) 2.23, Ben is in 4th 6.48 seconds back, Joel is 7th 13.12 back Alex Swann 13.30, James Maltman 12th, Mitch delfs is 13th & James Brodie was 40th. From what i saw (ben sitting down not peddling!) don’t worry I yelled my lungs out at him! the aussies have plenty left in reserve so we are looking good don’t worry. None of the aussies boys let it all hang out.
The mens times aren’t up yet but it went something like Rennie, Peat, Minnar, Hannah, Sambo was 6th I think……….Rando & Ameil were about 15thish I think…

All in all had an awesome day, saw more WA crew, Deon & james Ross, Lairdy & triggers. Saw some good diggers including a dude from brazil pop his elbow out.
Might post more later if not it’s 4X finals tomorrow which should be awesome.
