Graves was snapping people left and right all evening and didn’t dissapoint in the final heat. Graves got passed by Gracia in the air and it looked like the showman would win until the last corner when Graves buried it inside and got the job done once again.
For the women, Kintner cruised to one of her trademark easy wins. This was made even more simple then normal due to the fact that arch rival Tara Llannes was out after injuring herself earlier in the day. She is now on crutches

Bell has just got back from his first stint as a trainee on the mines, which just happens to be the same one that Dobbo is working at, he managed to get a sneeky little pick of Dobbo’s training rig which he rides every day and night in lycra around the mine to keep himself in tip top shape for racing Bell even said he misses lunch most days and can be seen drafting behind a Dump Truck heading of into the sunset no wonder he waxed most of the field at the last State round! Anyway the bike is fully tricked out with a Formula hydro disc up front powerful V brake on the rear a proto type RockShox coil over taking care of the minesite boulders and some Bombers on the front with a nice little vista light on the bars so the Dumpers can spot him coming home for dinner and its all bolted up to a trick Diamond Back frame woohoo! what a machine.

Housey’s Whip

Wooly’s Whip

Lairdy’s Piss Tremors Cant Snap A Clean Shot Of Me

Wooly Gettin Cross
The Circus arrived in Medina on Saturday Night with what could probably be the biggest 4X turnout ever with 132 riders the stage was set for an awesome night of racing. Well it would have been if anyone turned up! in the end there was 8 representing the 26″ crew with Wooly,Timey,Titter,Lairdette,Bukit,Browny,Charlsley,Myself and a few locals on some curbside cleanup bikes and Housey on his Crooza and handful of local 20″ers so we just messed around doing gates and getting in some training. Wooly rocked up and proceeded to nail everything on his first lap and at the end of the day laying down some nice tricks for the crowd he’s not to bad on his hardtail but its sad he cant go fast on the Horse. Although the turnout wasnt there we still had a good time and totally canned our bodys and back rims.

Very Very cute hey! Dans says she has a good grip (for handlebars)
At 4.15pm today Dan Sprague’s wife Vanja has just given birth to a little baby girl named Elahn Jazmin Sprague weighing in at 2.82kg he says they are all stoked especially Stephanie who now has a little sister to play with. Conratulations to them all and we wish them a wonderful life together and hopefully as soon as she can pedal bang her on a bike and we could have a future champ! just what Vanja’s wants I bet. I will have a family snap as soon as dad gets one to me.

Justin Havukainen, Mitch Delfs @ Mount Snow
Results for the race are 1st place to Amiel Cavallier 2nd Jared Rando 3rd Des Curry 4th Ben Bell and 5th Andrew Neethling and the 4X was Eric Carter,Brian Lopes and Rich Housemen. This is Benny’s best result to date and he is really stoked to of finally put together a solid run at 1.53 considering Amiel pulled a 1.51, the eventual winner because 1st to 5th were all Aussies was Duncan Riffle with a 1.54.02 because this was a National you had to be American to count but we all know who the Bad Boys are. He is staying at the Sharples Residence in Navada City with Tracy,Sabrina,Sam,Mitch and Joel and apparantly the weather is super hot around the 40C mark! The track was nice and fast and Ben reckons he could have gone faster he was being a little to cautious in a few spots trying to get across the line with out any hassles like previous races, the spun out thing with the course was they double bunted all the way as usual but really really wide and you could straight line alot of the corners. He’s going to chill out for a few weeks with Sharples and do heap of Xc and Dh but probably no racing until the Worlds, the rest of the crew are leaving tommorow for Whistler but Bens hanging back to get fit and ready for the big one. He tells me Scott’s house is really close to a lake so he has been swimming heaps. The yeti 303 is going flat out now and he has really got the hang of it he’s still running his original Dee Max’s still straight as but a little scratched and he reckons he has stripped down the bike 4 or 5 times and there are 52 pinch bolts on the frame alone, he’s trying to sort out an Xc bike of his own so he doesnt have to keep borrowing but all up he is having an awesome time. Hopefully Chris Conroy at Yeti keeps his eye on him because Rich Houseman is retiring from the Pro team and there will be a spot available at the end of the season and I think we all know someone who would fill the position nicely.
Another thing i would like to add to my comments about Matty Bellerina racing the Boddington Xc State Round is, he did it with spd’s!! could this be a change of tactics for our States fastest? who knows?

Abe pushing up while my manic tops up the tan.

Bukit scooting past

And entering the rocks
This Sunday myself Bukit,Mullet Woman,Triggaz,Kanook,Abe,Sproggy and Minus6 Dave headed to a secret location 20 minutes from Midland for a little Dh. With my V10 out of action with a dodgy 5th element I banged some fat tyres on the manic and of we went. Bukit had a new set of Saint brakes needing a bed in so he was keen as and pushed it all day in typical loudness but over shot a corner and gave the wrist a slight tizzy up, Dave was back from a surfing holiday in Indo so he thought he would dust of the old Norco and take her out for a lazy roll and was moving quite well for a young 56 year old. We hit up the Gundgeon area first which is really just a fun track with loads of jumps but not enough flow and berms or tech sections of any cosequence some we managed 2 or 3 runs then headed of to a little hill not far away. This track is seriously rocky pretty much all the way down and with a little more work and a few line changes it could have some serious potential as a practise track. Not much else to really report on just a straight forward day of riding really, hows those Eagles hey? and the Dockers were very assy to pull that one of what about the look on Malthouse’s face it was priceless!
Dont forget to get to our Club 4x this weekend I will have all the info up tommorow and guess what racing will be Saturday night under lights at the Southern Districts Bmx track in Medina! very nice indeed so we can get our fix of 4x and Dh in one weekend with Perth Dh at Bickley on the Sunday. And we all might be in with a chance because Sprogglet’s wife Vanja is due to pop out their second Rugglet on Wednesday so he says he may not be able to make it.
