August 2006

Congratulations To Shane Dobson he is finally going to make an honest woman of his long time partner Lisa and just in time because they are also expecting their 1st little Down Hill mountain biker in the coming months, good to see everything is in good working order and good to see which side he Barracks for because I think a few people where asking questions after the Pink Seat thing at the Hi-Way Cup.

This Is How Bells Rig Should Look

The Hi-Way’s Boys and 3 Chillis have once again come up with a sweet track wide open turns and plenty of flow and a nice set of doubles which on race day may end up being a triple? and a big set of ski jumps that you hit at warp speed. Heres a few pics of today I didnt get much because I was riding lets hope my new 5th element holds up for the race otherwise i will be busting out Bells bike thats why I have the clips on it all ready to go if I need it fingers crossed i wont but either way if I have to run his Giant it will go the fastest it has ever been. See yahs tomorrow dont forget your muds!!!!

Sam hill wins a disputed garbanzo title (the timing tent blew away mid race and took the laser with it) with a 15:14. Peaty second 15:17, Kovarik third 15:17.6 and Rennie fourth 15:18.4.

The top of the course was pretty slick and the bottom was about as pedaly as you can get and still have a DH course. A few racers blew one of the lower corners and pegged the Yeti truck. Good times were had by all.
