Sram has a new brake called the Elixir CR. They designed it to provide more power, control, and comfort. Gone is the Avid Juicy Carbon and in its place is what seems to be a much improved brake that has some very nice features and changes to improve upon the Juicy design.
They showed off the Elixir R model previously at Sea Otter, but this new version includes a tool free pad contact adjustment in addition to the reach adjustment. Check out the pdf for more information.

Kovarik Wins Psychosis (More photos in the Gallery Photo| Brodie Bikes)
The final Mount 7 Psychosis downhill race took place last weekend and there were a lot of heavy hitters there. There Andrew from Brodie Bikes sent through some pictures of the event. Psychosis is one of the longest DH races at typically over 13 minutes with approximately 4000 feet of elevation. You can see some footage of the Psychosis race in the DVD Seasons.
This was the last year for the Psychosis race and Chris Kovarik took the victory for the pro men over a lot of fast riders like Sam Hill, Tyler Morland, and Andrew Mitchell. Claire Bouchar won it for the pro women.
