HELP NEEDED!- CALLING FOR VOLEENTEERS

PDMBC Timming Workshop!

We are happy to announce that the sales rep for Tag Heuer will be in Perth!  He has volunteered to run a training workshop for all those who may be interested.

As a club we need as many people to understand how the timing equipment works to be able to continue to run events.

We are looking at running the workshop during the week commencing 22nd August.

Once we have numbers we can confirm date and venue.

Please email us at pdmbc08@yahoo.com.au if interested.

Commisionarie Training.

It’s here at last!

Tony Scott from MTBA will be running Commissionaire training in August (date/location to be confirmed).

As of 2012 Commissionaires will be compulsory at all DH events.  The role of the commissionaire is to ensure the safety and compliance of all events.

The training is broken down in to a theory and a practical session.  The practical session will be held at our Wellington Mills event on the 14th August.

The theory session is TBA (either a week night in Perth or on Saturday 13th in Wellington Mills area)

All training is paid for by WAMBA.  This is a great opportunity to add a feather in your cap!

Please email us at pdmbc08@yahoo.com.au if interested.

A big thank-you

A HUGE THANK YOU GOES TO ALL THE VOLUNTEERS WHO HELPED OUT WITH ROUND 2 WELLINGTON MILLS.

Conditions were challenging and fun for all riders however a little miserable for those standing in the rain marshalling or having to drive a bus in slippery conditions.

The weekend ran very smoothly which could not be possible with the help of those who setup, bunt the track, and keep time and helped pack up.

Thank you

Looking forward to Round 3- Wellington Mills

With our baby being born around the same time as Round 3- Volunteers to help register riders, drive buses and time would be a welcome relief.  Please email if you’re happy to help.

Cheers

Paul

The stole the following:

- Avanti Derelikt 1. A black DJ hardtail with rigid forks.

- Avanti Derelikt 2. A silver DJ hardtail, singlespeed.

- An ABD BMX (unsure of details at this point).

- A range of Fox jerseys, backpacks, hats, etc.

The offenders rode off on the bikes, indicating that the theft was not professional, hence the bikes are likely to remain in the greater Perth area. These are high end bikes and are easy to identify. If you see any of these bikes for sale online/in a cash convertor store/in the quakka, or been ridden around your local area by someone you suspect is not a rightful owner, please contact Rockingham Cycle City on 9527 4456.

Rex.

Obviously, a reward is up for grabs.

A Big Thank-you

PDMBC committee would like to thank all the volunteers who helped make Round 1 run smoothly- this includes the guys that helped with the bunting, timing, canteen, driving the bus, all marshals and to those who helped cleaned and packed up.

Without your help Round 1 would not have happened.  Much appreciated!  Thank you!
